What children learn

In Rainbow Yellow, children…

  • Read simple three-letter words and a first set of common words (I, the, a, is, and).
  • Match sounds to letters and build words from them.
  • Read short sentences in lessons that are called Read, not Sounds.
  • Say what day it is, name foods and clothes, and talk about games and places.
